![]() The first couple nights I slept on it- it didn't feel as soft as in the store and my back was a little stiff - but my joint pain (hip) was gone and I did sleep cooler. It had very minor gas offing initially, but that was gone in 24 hours. ![]() I was concerned once I got it - that it would sleep hot (I sleep very warm) and not do much for joint pain. I settled on iSerta Savant II for comfort and price. I did all the research and have experience with memory foam benefits, just never bought a foam mattress due to price. (I swore if this mattress worked out I would write a review because online mattress reviews are so erratic.) There are ingredients in the foam that off-gas and are dangerous to your health and welfare. I am very disappointed with Serta.īased on my experience the I-Serta foam mattress is not safe. If the plastic cover does not work I will have thrown $1,800 down the drain. I am investigating zippered plastic covers to encase the I-Serta mattress to see if that helps. The allergy started as a slight itch and has progressed to the point that I cannot sleep on the mattress. I developed an allergy to the I-Serta foam mattress 3 to 4 weeks after the mattress was delivered. This experience has shown me that CR is no longer a good source for researching products before I purchase. Don't fall for the Consumer Reports review that gave it a shining review. I'll never buy another Serta Mattress since they obviously don't care to stand behind their claims that i-Comfort Series is 'revolutionary' and is worth the good money I paid for it. Don't fall for the 100-day satisfaction sleep guarantee because 100 days is not nearly enough time to give a true assessment. I spent $1,650 on this set and it's barely a year old. The inspection process was such a waste of time. Raymour & Flanigan is no help whatsoever! I do NOT recommend either R&F nor Serta. I've filed a BBB complaint and Consumer Affairs report. Yet I continue to sleep in my confined hole and am now considering taking this POS to the dump and eating a good amount of money. I had Raymour & Flanigan's inspector come out used their measuring tools to come to the conclusion that the bed is not defective and is within the warranty allowances. My partner and I now have a 'hill' down the middle of the mattress that limits your sleeping space to your own body cavity hole. Eventually you'll sink into a hole as the memory foam upper doesn't hold up. I suffer from back pain so the i-Comfort Hybrid series in firm (Fundamental model) seemed like an ideal replacement for my 10-year-old inner spring Sealy mattress. It was ok for the first 6 months, then support degrades after that. Purchased an iComfort-Applause II King mattress and split box spring. To get that real, honest-to-blog memory foam experience, you do have to spend a bit of cash, and this mattress is the real thing without being ludicrously expensive (even if you pay full price.) Conversely, it is miles better than the bargain $500-$700 "memory foam" mattresses. This mattress is not cheap, but we shopped around and it compares favorably to the $3000 to $5000 mattresses at the over-priced mattress stores. I can't attest to its durability (we've had it about a month), but it's very nearly been worth the thousand bucks we spent already (we got a heck of a deal here.) Seriously, sometimes when I'm just walking by I go touch it just because it makes me feel good. It is very soft, but in just the right way. I look forward to laying down on this thing. With many firmness options, most like their Sealy mattresses, but there are some durability complaints reported.īased on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend both Icomfort and Sealy Posturepedic in this match up!īrowse Icomfort Customer Reviews sometimes when I'm just walking by I go touch it just because it makes me feel good. Sealy is intriguing, having adapted its brand from in-store only to also offering online choices. As a mid-grade brand of the Tempur-Sealy conglomerate, they are well-known for selling competitively priced options in a variety of designs, like all foam and spring. Sealy is one of the most recognizable mattress brands in North America and globally. Although most customers like the initial feel of their iComfort mattress, there are some who have brought up issues with the longevity of their mattress. Over the years, they have tweaked the designs to offer sleepers optional pressure relief and cooling upgrades for warm sleepers. Since its launch in 2011, Serta iComfort has been a popular mattress at big-box stores and traditional mattress retailers.
